Changing Permission Settings of the Assignment Folder

Changing Permission Settings of the Assignment Folder

The Assignments folder you created will allow students to create videos, but it does not automatically allow other students to view. These instructions explain how to change the permissions of the Assignment folder to allow students to view each other’s videos.

Step 1: After selecting the Panopto/Course Videos link on the sidebar, select the main folder where the [assignments] subfolder is located. Then, click on the [assignments] folder to open it.

Step 4: Check the box at the top of the list that says “Allow viewers to see each other’s sessions.” Once you have selected it, you can close the settings box by selecting the X in the top right corner.

*Remember, if students say that they cannot see each other’s videos, check that you have set the permissions first.
